MNLifeAgent: I stand by all my comments. Your only purpose in posting here is to do market research. Take it somewhere else.
Also, I'm not thousands of miles away. I live in the Twin Cities, I have lived in Minnesota most of my life.
i am not a jehovah's witness, although i do respect your religion entirely.
i am 27 years old, and live in minnesota.
i have an older cousin, who's mother (not with my uncle -separated when my cousin was a baby) had been a witness, grew up in your word, and about 12 years ago she fully converted.

This forum is intended to be a place to discuss JW issues, not to be a marketing tool for some half baked sales pitch. You clearly are not interested in contributing in any meaningful way to the forum, you're trying to find a new line of business. I find this thread topic and most of your ignorant comments offensive.
so as i announced last week, my wife and i started our fade and i sent in a letter to our body that i was stepping down and cited the arc as the reason and insisted that we not be bothered.
my wife told a few relatives in person that we weren't going to attend meetings any longer (immediate shunning occurred, the new videos must be effective) and that what we found with the arc shocked us etc etc.
i have an inside track on how this is all going down by an awake elder on the body, co told them to handle the matter quickly.
Sending a letter to the elders telling them about ARC is not how you fade. It's one step away from sending a DA latter. Expect to be shunned by the majority of your JW acquaintances.
could the religion have survived?.
i know it was never forbidden, but i remember growing up, how we were encouraged to put it off until the new system, and instead focus on a career in the full time service.. can you imagine if every young jw had chosen to follow that counsel?
it's difficult to imagine the religion being sustainable without the next generation of born-ins..
Blonde thanks for the quotes. I knew the talk against child-bearing was big back in the eighties when I was newly married and pioneering. I didn't realize there were more recent admonitions on the privilege of remaining childless.
I know I was surprised when my JW niece told me a couple years ago she was planning to have a second child. I had never before heard a JW talk about choosing to have a child.
yesterday a letter was read in our congregation.
it said that there have been doctrinal changes in many chapters of the book 'god's kingdom rules' so everyone but especially the conductor must be sure to use the latest update of the book.. this book is only ...how old?
two years?
We've always been at war with Eastasia.
i find it hard to believe that the flamboyant grooming, earrings and heels would grant him positive status in the congregation.
it definitely wouldn't fly in my old cong in arizona.
he would been pulled in the b room rather fast.
They had a memorial service for him at the local Kingdom Hall, went out of their way to invite non-witnesses. What does that tell you?
did anybody see the service meeting video this week?.
australian sister was sexually abused as a child and thought of ending her life at 14 years old, sometime later jw's call on her father who accepts a study and eventually the whole family becomes witnesses, life gets much better as the sister immerses herself in pioneering etc, she still has some dark days but prayer along with going for walks and swimming has helped her cope with bad memories of child abuse, the new system (just around the corner) will completely fix everything......... i'm dumbfounded, the hypocrisy has literally rendered me speechless......comments anybody?.
I wonder what will be going through my loyal JW sister's mind as she watches this. Of course she has nothing to do with me, but she has no problem associating with the JW family member who molested her for years. They go to the same Hall, in fact.
i've noticed within the past 2-3 decades that brothers have not traveled to various destinations with sisters and/or families.. myself with my own 2 sisters (bio/spiritual), 3 cousins, and 4-5 friends usually travel once a year during the spring and summer months to a number of places, whether it be via bus, train or plane.
the travel groups [there are 3 which are commandeered by some older sisters and their own bio sisters, daughters, and granddaughters plus a niece or two)] which total about 30-40 persons travel regularly during these times of the year.
although there are a great amount of females on these trips, there are hardly any adult males in attendance; the only males who are seated with the group range from age 5 to 12 approximately--these young boys are 2-6 in total--and once they reach high school age, that number dwindles from 1-0!.
Most JWs, male and female, are very deficient socially. They are trapped in a very suppressive, regulated group that stunts their mental and psychological development. The org treats them like children. This leads to odd types of behavior, and what you describe is an example of this. My two cents...
it's funny folks , it's x rated..
It's not X rated, it just has some profanity, some F-bombs here and there. Funny stuff though.
for those of you that asked, below is a copy of my solicitors letter to the elders in my old congregation.
he sent a similar one directly to bethel and a medical directive to my daughters gp to go on her medical records that i have already given permission for her to have a blood transfusion should she need one:.
.
I think some of you are way overreacting to that picture. Apparently you never read comic books as a kid or watched any action or sci-fi movies. I can assure you I was exposed to the Paradise book, the Live Forever book, etc. and somehow I survived. Just saying...
